Ryan Parker was born January 15th 1975 in good old sunny Los Angeles. Nobody really cares to hear about his family or his early years. To be very honest it’s all very boring so fast forward to Ryan’s early twenties. Ryan had started his career taking the lowest most demeaning positions in the film industry. 9 years of toiling away doing horrible (sometimes horrible doesn’t even begin to touch it) movies Ryan was on the verge of making it. Finally by the age of 30 Ryan had his first big break as the First Assistant Director on the movie Brokeback Mountain. It was on the set of Brokeback Mountain that Ryan met Brianna. He knew he loved her the minute he laid eyes on her but being Ryan he played it cool. She was everything he wanted and more. He created quite a few excuses to meet with her over the course of the movie trying to spend as much time as possible with her but things were always kept professional. His feelings grew throughout the course of the time they spent together. The movie finally wrapped and Brianna walked out of his life. Time passed and he heard nothing from her again. It wasn’t until Ryan got into the director’s guild that he was able to pull some strings and was able to recommend Brianna for the new movie he was working on and that is how she came back into his life. Life doesn’t often give you second chances so this time Ryan went for it and let her know exactly how he felt and although she might tell you that at first she resisted his charms but in reality there was really no question of their future together. The next few years went by and on the outside they were the perfect couple, totally in love but things are never what they seem.
Ryan still remembers the first girl he slept with while with Bri. It happened the first year they were together. They had been apart for a few months doing their own separate projects. They spoke on the phone all the time but talking on the phone didn’t seem to be enough for Ryan he missed the physical side of their relationship. He had finished filming for the day and headed to the hotel bar. He had called Bri earlier just to hear her voice and tell her how much he loved her and missed her. Her voice was still in his head when he sat at the bar and downed a few jack and cokes and that’s when he spotted a blonde across the bar. He was lonely and she was there so he bought her a few drinks and they chatted. Ryan worked his charm and all of sudden he was in her hotel room. He hadn’t meant for it to go as far as it had with her and after it was all said and done he swore he’d never do it again. Ryan was never very good at keeping promises to himself and it seemed every other night he was going home with some girl that wasn’t Bri. After the first girl it just seemed so easy and Bri would never find out, they were miles away. It was purely physical, he never had any feelings for the girls he was with he just liked sex plain and simple. He was always careful and discreet about these relationships so that Bri never would find out hell he even had a separate cell phone that he kept hidden away anytime he was staying with Bri or vice versa. He’s still not exactly sure how she found it on their last visit or exactly what she saw or heard (of course he’d slipped up and forgotten to delete a few texts and voicemails). When she found out he tried to talk his way out of it which he was sure he’d be able to do, he’d make her see it was nothing serious just a tiny speed bump but she wasn’t buying any of it. He was kicked out of Bri’s place that night his face stinging and still red from the slap he had fully deserved.
He woke up the morning after the cell phone fiasco in a hotel with an empty bottle of jack beside him and the worst headache he’d ever had. He’d messed up big time and he had to make it right but the minor flaw in the plan was that Bri wanted nothing to do with him. He left countless voice and text messages on her phone telling her to stop being so silly and to call him back so they could talk. He didn’t want to believe she was really gone. Eventually her home phone was disconnected and when he went by her apartment (again something he’d been doing frequently but never was able to catch her) he was informed that Bri had moved. Nobody would tell Ryan where she was but the message was clear she wanted him out of her life. Finally he had to accept she wasn’t just blowing off steam, she wasn’t just the temporary she’ll get over it kind of mad but that she wasn’t going to forgive him and she wasn’t going to come walking back into his life like she said before, Ryan blew his second chance.
Ryan HATES Starbucks he’d much rather get a cup of coffee at a greasy spoon dive of a diner but he was late for a meeting and there was a Starbucks on every corner in the city so he caved and went in. It was his luck that on this day at the exact time he was entering the overpriced not so great coffee chain that Bri’s best friend was leaving. He’d of course stopped her and struck up a conversation. What began as pleasant small talk turned into a much more serious talk about his relationship with Bri and 2 coffees and a lot of smooth talking later he had the golden ticket, Bri was living in Boston.
It wasn’t easy getting himself out of his contract on the next movie he was set to work on but he did it. Ryan Parker was officially taking a break from work to move to Boston and win back the heart of the only woman he ever loved.
